- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon orange zest

- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into cubes, room temperature
- 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom, optional
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- ice cream, for serving, optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish or 12-inch skillet, mix the peaches with bourbon, orange juice, orange zest, vanilla, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Ensure the peaches are well coated.
- Add the cornstarch and mix well to combine. Reserve while preparing the crisp topping.
Notes
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
Feel free to adjust the bourbon amount to taste or substitute it with apple juice if desired.
The crisp topping can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge.
