Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and white chocolate chips until smooth. Stir in the matcha powder until fully incorporated and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and kosher salt.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, then mix until fully combined.
  5. Fold in the all-purpose flour just until no streaks remain.
  6. Pour the combined batter into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Evenly drizzle the slightly cooled matcha ganache over the top of the batter.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For richer flavor, use high-quality white chocolate.
Ensure the matcha powder is finely sifted for a smoother texture.
