- 2 cups (280 g) fresh or frozen blackberries
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons turbinado sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt, whisking together well.
- Gradually add the milk, then mix in the melted butter until the batter is smooth and fully combined.
- Pour the batter into a 10-inch cast-iron skillet or a similar baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix the blackberries, sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon, tossing gently to coat the berries.
- Spoon the blackberry mixture evenly over the batter without stirring it.
- Sprinkle turbinado sugar over the top for added crunch.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is fully set.
- Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a unique twist, try using raspberries or blueberries in place of blackberries.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat!
