- 1 (12.4 oz) roll pillsbury cinnamon rolls
- 1 egg white, whipped
- 1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 6 tbsp butter, softened
- 3/4 cup flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
- vanilla ice cream, optional
- ghirardelli caramel sauce, optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and spray a 10" pan with non-stick spray.
- Flatten 8 cinnamon rolls and place them in the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Brush the flattened cinnamon rolls with the whipped egg white.
- In a small bowl, mix together 2 tbsp sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the cinnamon rolls.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and spread the apple pie filling evenly over the baked cinnamon rolls.
- In another bowl, combine softened butter, flour, brown sugar, and 1 tsp cinnamon using a fork to create a crumble mixture.
- Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the apple pie filling, then add chopped pecans on top.
- Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes.
- Optional: Drizzle with icing from the cinnamon rolls or serve warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
Notes
For a more intense flavor, add additional cinnamon to the crumble mixture.
If you don’t have pecans, walnuts or almonds can be used as substitutes.
Serve warm for the best texture and taste.
