Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a 9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring there's some overhang for easy removal later.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Set this mixture aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars together at medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. You'll notice a color change when it's ready.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Fold in the chocolate chips with a silicone spatula until the dough is uniform.
