  • 1 cup (two sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and both sugars in a mixer until fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, salt, vanilla extract, and baking powder until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time. If the dough is greasy, incorporate up to 1/4 cup more flour as required.
  5. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  6. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch between two sheets of parchment paper and chill for 30 minutes.
  7. Cut the dough into your desired shapes and place them on a lined baking sheet; chill again before baking.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 7-9 minutes, ensuring they are removed before the edges turn brown.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
