Ingredients
Scale
- 4 oz baking chocolate
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13-inch pan with foil and spray it with cooking spray.
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the baking chocolate and butter. Microwave on HIGH for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Stir in sugar.
- Add the eggs, vanilla, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, ¾ teaspoon of cayenne, salt, and 2 tablespoons of cocoa, mixing well.
- Gently incorporate the flour, then fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Spread the brownie batter into your prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing into squares.
- Whisk together powdered sugar, ¼ teaspoon cocoa, ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Sprinkle this mixture over the sliced brownies.
Notes
For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet baking chocolate.
